UNDERWOODS  IN  THE  SOUTH

As one of the largest independent catering butchers in the UK, operating for almost 50 years, we were keen to bring our expertise and knowledge to customers in the south of England.

 

Our southern operations for Underwood Meat Company are run from our site in Godalming, Surrey. From there we supply customers via our quality daily delivery service across an extensive geographical area, extending beyond London and the M25 corridor to their outlying surroundings.

 

We brought the Godalming facility into our portfolio in 2007, when we began supplying a brewery chain in Hertford. Operations expanded quickly to supply over 130 managed houses and have continued to grow ever since.

 

Despite being part of a national operation, we have worked hard to provide an excellent, personal service by creating small, dedicated and focused teams in each area of our business.

 

Our one-to-one account management has enabled us to develop close relationships with our customers and maintain excellent service and delivery standards across all our operations with the backing and facilities of a much larger national business.

 

Our southern operations are a reflection of the standards we have built and maintained over the last five decades; we consistently deliver quality butchered products and a customer service experience that puts the customer first every time.

 

We hold SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) accreditation; a food-safety standard written by experienced food safety experts to reflect both the legal requirements of producers and the enhanced expectations of 'best practice' of professional food buyers.
